A letter from our Chairman:
With the new season now underway, the committee would like to wish the best of luck to each of our 33 league teams and the 100+ children in our Academy. This is the largest number of league teams the club has ever had and the work of team coaches, managers, age group coordinators and other volunteers is hugely appreciated.
As with all community clubs, we rely heavily on the active involvement of our players’ parents and guardians. Some longstanding volunteers have recently moved on and we are now looking to recruit a few new volunteers to take on support roles within the club, each of which can be filled by people with or without football experience.
These roles are:
Assistant Club Secretary – ordering kit, online shop management, kit distribution, coordinating club events.
Fixtures Secretary for our small sided teams – liaising with opposition clubs and match referees ahead of games to confirm kick-off times and match locations for our small sided teams.
Fixtures Secretary for our Girls teams – liaising with opposition clubs and match referees ahead of games to confirm kick-off times and match locations for our Girls teams.
Fundraising Coordinator – Sponsorship, Gala Dinner.
Hyde Park Redevelopment – assisting the Dalkey United Committee with the proposed redevelopment of the Hyde Park Clubhouse
I cannot emphasise enough the importance and contributions of volunteers to a small club like ours. Without more volunteers neither the club nor its players will reach their potential.
