Dalkey Utd U12 got back to their winning ways at Hilcrest versus Lucan Utd. In a very entertaining match, Dalkey came out winners 2:1 with two goals by captain and stand in (and outstanding) striker Duffy scoring two in the second half after great team work and determined running. Dalkey had been unlucky to concede one on the break just before half time, but changes at half time, including Duffy move from right wing to striker helped get Dalkey back in the game.

Bennett worked hard at left back throughout, while Mooney showed athleticism and physicality down the right wing in the second half. Wride played a good game sitting just in front of the back three, cleaning up well. Woods was back after a three game lay off and was solid in defence along with Blake, who poked a ball off the foot of a Lucan striker in the dying few minutes. An organised and confident performance should put Dalkey back in the top 2 in the division.
